Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including data entry and invoice processing
- Reconcile accounts and prepare bank deposits
- Prepare and process payroll, including calculating hours and taxes, and producing paychecks
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure that all transactions are properly documented
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports
- Respond to client and vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with year-end financial audits and tax preparation
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve department goals

Qualifications:

- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in accounting software, such as Quickbooks, Sage, or Xero
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Physical Demands: The Accounts Assistant primarily works in an office environment, and may be required to sit or stand for extended periods. The position may require occasional lifting of boxes or other items.

Working Conditions: The Accounts Assistant works in an office environment, and may be required to work outside of normal business hours to accommodate deadlines or other business needs.
