When working in a hospital as a nurse, you may work in various departments, including cardiology, oncology and the intensive care unit. It's a challenging working environment where you can be involved as a generalist or specialise in one of the many departments.

**Your responsibilities may include**:

- washing and dressing patients
- answering intercom systems to determine patient needs
- repositioning bedridden patients
- providing physical support as a patient performs their daily activities
- measuring and recording food and liquid intake
- recording vital signs
- exercising patients who have restricted movement
- supplying, collecting and emptying bedpans
- preparing and serving food trays
- washing, grooming and draping patients to prepare them for surgery, treatment or examination
- cleaning and sanitising patient rooms, bathrooms, examination rooms
- gathering information from caregivers, family members, doctors and nurses about a patient's physical condition
- documenting and reporting patient behaviour, complaints or physical symptoms to doctors
- collecting biological specimens from patients
- administering medications or immunisations
- setting up and preparing medical instruments or equipment for use
- explaining technical medical information to patients and family members
- stocking medical or patient care supplies
- taking temperature, pulse, weight and respiration on patients
- helping move patients
- making patients feel comfortable

**Salary**: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
