Python Developer Basic Qualifications - Experience building standard supervised (GLM ensemble techniques) and unsupervised (clustering) models in prior professional roles including knowledge of standard industry libraries (pandas sklearn keras etc.) - Fluent in big data technologies (spark dask) and databases (SQL NoSQL) - Significant experience in python including writing unit tests building packages and writing reusable/maintainable code - Ability to understand and explain modelling techniques and visualise analytical results (e.g. matplotlib/seaborn/plotly/D3/tableau) - Prior usage of continuous integration/development tools e.g. Jenkins and Spark ML pipelines - A self-starter who is also an affable colleague and brings their own ideas to enrich and widen our thinking Preferred Qualifications - Advanced degree with strong knowledge of the mathematics underpinning machine learning including linear algebra and multivariate calculus - Experience in any of these specialist areas: reinforcement learning NLP Bayesian techniques/generative models - Skilled at pitching ideas and analytical results to people in a way that has impact and influence - Demonstrated evidence of building analytical solutions in an industry setting - Clear passion for making financial services more customer-centric by using data science ethically.
