**WERS Releasing and BOM Auditing
- Ensure FSU, IPR guidelines are met in line with GPDS Millstones and program VPP targets.
- Lead Publish Point reviews with Engineering and Program Team.
- Participate in Colour PDL audit during review stage and ensure WERS Releasing inputs are captured during PDL Approval.
- Support the Team in Analyzing Queries with respect to usage coding, Procurement and Colour Release.
- Prepare and Publish Program Charts / Procurement matrix for each program and get Alignment with cross functional Teams.
- Attend Global Convergence forums and respresent AP stand in terms of process impact in the Region.
- Ensure implementation of Global Best Practices in the Region.
- Identify suitable IT Enhancements / Systems enhancements to support business requirements and get cross functional Alignment with other Regions.
- Implementation of Global Converged process in the Region.
- Analyze and interpret engineering/program direction letters to assure accurate processing of data into WERS [Ford data base of BOM Release].
- Liaise with Engineering and check the accuracy of data before releasing of BOM in system.
- Perform Pre-Engineering BOM release audits for new model BOM's using AVBOM [Advanced Vehicle Bill of Material]/ other audit tools
- Conduct efficient Release Analysis to ensure 100% accurate releases in WERS
- Lead discussions with customer plants on regular basis to ensure that all BOM issues are addressed & closed with top priority.
- Support PPM launch activities for allocated new programs in coordination with members from all PPM work streams.
- Maintain 100% BOM accuracy, including color, and quality levels in support of both prototype and production builds through various audit methods as below
- Perform part audits through Surrogate comparison, Structure Audit etc.
- Tree Chart and identify missing or additional usage for a part number in a commodity
- Proper Program direction Letter interpretation for usage coding.
- Maintain structures in WERS for bailment parts / in-house assemblies / cross plant shipments as required
- Coordinate with Purchasing / Engineering / Manufacturing for inputs and accurate releasing & structuring of bailment / cross plant ship parts in system prior to release.
- Analyze & decide on appropriate audit tools/processes for each vehicle lines for plant fit & bailment parts to ensure robust structure in BOM.
- Ensure 100% accurate BOM for the responsible vehicle lines and closure of BOM issues within 48 hrs by close coordination with cross functional agencies.
