Workday Functional Testing

**Job Title**: Workday Functional Tester
**Location**: Hyderabad, India

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Functional Testing**:

- Perform end-to-end functional testing of **Workday HCM**, **Workday Finance**, and other Workday modules.
- Validate Workday configurations against functional requirements, ensuring that the solution meets business needs.
- Create, review, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for various Workday modules (Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, etc.).
- Coordinate with business users, functional consultants, and development teams to validate and test configurations.
- **Test Planning & Execution**:

- Lead test planning sessions to gather requirements and set up test environments.
- Identify and document test data and test scenarios based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Execute manual and automated test scripts across different environments (e.g., QA, UAT, production) for various phases of testing.
- Log defects, track issues, and ensure they are resolved within agreed-upon timelines.
- **Collaboration & Reporting**:

- Collaborate with Workday Functional Consultants, Technical Consultants, and Business Analysts to review requirements and provide testing input.
- Provide regular test progress updates, including defect status and test results, to stakeholders.
- Ensure all testing is aligned with Workday best practices and governance standards.
- Participate in meetings with business stakeholders to understand test objectives and define success criteria.
- **Test Documentation & Reporting**:

- Prepare detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, and track testing progress.
- Analyze and report testing results to ensure the highest quality deliverables.
- Identify areas for test automation, and where applicable, work with automation teams to develop and execute test scripts.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in **Workday Functional Testing**, with a strong focus on **HCM** and/or **Finance** modules.
- Proven track record of performing end-to-end testing in Workday implementations (core HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting, time tracking, etc.).
- Experience in both **manual and automated testing** methodologies.
- Knowledge of **Workday business processes**, configuration, and integration testing.
- Experience with **test management tools** like JIRA, ALM, or similar.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong understanding of **Workday HCM and Finance modules**.
- Ability to work with **Workday reporting and data validation**.
- Experience in writing and executing test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Familiarity with **Workday Studio** (integration testing), **Workday BIRT Reporting**, and/or **Workday Web Services** is a plus.
- Knowledge of **Workday security and access controls** for testing purposes.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business and IT teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Workday certifications (e.g., Workday HCM, Workday Integration) are a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: From ₹1,500,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
