We are looking for a Database Administrator who can perform the below tasks.
- Lead the strategic efforts in storing and managing OLTP data across products
- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
- Install, configure, and upgrade database servers
- Manage hardware requirements for production systems
- Plan and support database security as defined by system/security architects, etc.
- Plan and perform database migrations for better scalability and performance, etc.
- Respond to requests for data, requiring writing some ad hoc queries - like request for audit trail for some accounts, etc
- Design, test and implement Disaster Recovery, Backup and Restore strategies, standards and scripts
- Maintenance and monitoring of database systems for optimal performance and availability.
- Monitor jobs execution, and make corrective actions when necessary
- Monitoring replication and make corrective actions in case of problems
- Develop scripts to optimally perform procedures, functions and notifications as part of the day to day management functions. Moderate experience in SQL performance tuning is required
- Architect and design of production database systems. Create objects (tables, views, indices, keys), as required by architects and implemented by system developers
- Provide tier 3 support to other IT team’s such as AppDev and Data Services

**Required Skills**:
**Job Requirement**
About 5+ years of experience in IT as a Database Administrator (preferably SQL server)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
- About 3+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting cloud data solutions in Production (preferably Multi Cloud)
- Experience with AWS RDS, SQL server, Azure
- Experience with Replication, Mirroring, SSIS and SSRS
- Experience with setting up DR for SQL server in cloud architecture and understanding of RTO/RPO concepts
- In-depth knowledge in database design and architecture
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
- A solid understanding of AWS storage solutions such as S3, Glacier, EFS, and EBS.
- Good understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
- PostgreSQL certification preferred
