- Warehouse Assistant**

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of our warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety and quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Receiving and Processing Shipments**: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and process shipments into inventory. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all incoming shipments.
- **Stocking and Organizing Inventory**: Assist in stocking inventory shelves and organizing warehouse storage areas. Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and audits.
- **Order Picking and Packing**: Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking items from inventory shelves, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment. Ensure orders are processed in a timely manner to meet customer deadlines.
- **Shipping and Receiving**: Prepare outbound shipments for delivery using appropriate packaging materials and shipping methods. Generate shipping labels and documentation as needed. Coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- **Inventory Control**: Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to warehouse management. Assist in maintaining inventory records and conducting regular inventory checks.
- **Equipment Operation**: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures when operating equipment.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness and Orderliness**: Keep warehouse and work areas clean and organized at all times. Follow proper housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- **Assisting with Special Projects**: Assist warehouse management with special projects or tasks as needed. This may include inventory reorganization, process improvements, or other initiatives to optimize warehouse operations.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
