- **Working with dental impressions**:Technicians use impressions to make models of a patient's mouth and then create restorations and appliances based on those models.
- **Using specialized tools and materials**:This involves working with hand tools, materials like wax, metal, porcelain, and plastic, and specialized equipment like dental presses and 3D printers.
- **Ensuring quality and fit**:Technicians must ensure that the finished appliances are accurate, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing.
- **Collaborating with dentists**:They work closely with dentists to understand patient needs and ensure that the appliances meet their requirements.
- **Adjusting or repairing dental appliances**:Technicians may also be responsible for making adjustments or repairs to existing appliances.
- **Keeping patient records**:Maintaining accurate records of the work performed is also a key responsibility.
