**Your Role and Responsibilities**

As a MS SQL DBA SME, you will be responsible to manage and administer MS SQL Server databases with support of daily operations and helps to develop strategies to improve availability and utilization of MS SQL Servers Environment of multinational clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage MS SQL server databases
- Develop strategies to Improve availability and utilization of MS SQL Servers environment
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Logging, managing, and resolving SQL Server SR's with Microsoft Support

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- About 7-10 Yrs Relevant Experience as DBA
- 24/7 support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by business systems
- SQL 2012, 2016/2017/2019 Installation, good troubleshooting skills especially on Performance & tuning
- Management & maintenance of back-ups & recovery policies/procedures.
- Installation and maintenance of database server, good knowledge of Always-on, Replication etc.
- Security and access control.
- Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines required for Administration, monitoring of DBs etc.
- Perform security heath checks and remedy gaps as required
- Reviewing and tuning T-SQL queries.
- Designing database packages and procedures.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server 2012, 2016/2017/2019 with production support experience in a multi-project environment.
- In-depth knowledge of T-SQL and query tuning.
- In-depth knowledge of SSMS and overview of SSRS and SSAS
- Performance and tuning skills including server configuration and tracing techniques.
- Good working knowledge of job scheduling and monitoring tools.
- Experience of working with multiple projects/tasks and the ability to prioritize on the fly.
- Experience of supporting multiple teams within a business.
