Key responsibilities of a Chinese cook may include:

- **Ingredient preparation**:

- Selecting fresh, high-quality Chinese ingredients like vegetables, meats, seafood, and herbs.
- Properly chopping, slicing, and prepping ingredients according to specific dish requirements.
- Measuring ingredients accurately to maintain recipe consistency.
- **Cooking techniques**:

- Expertly using a wok to stir-fry dishes rapidly.
- Steaming dumplings, fish, and vegetables to preserve nutrients.
- Deep-frying dishes like spring rolls and wontons with proper temperature control.
- Properly braising meats and stews for tender results.
- **Dish preparation**:

- Cooking classic Chinese dishes like Kung Pao chicken, General Tso's chicken, Mapo Tofu, Dim Sum, noodles, rice dishes, and more.
- Adapting recipes to cater to dietary restrictions or customer preferences when appropriate.
- Ensuring proper plating and presentation to enhance visual appeal.
- **Hygiene and safety**:

- Adhering to strict food safety guidelines and sanitation practices.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work station.
- Properly handling and storing food items to prevent contamination.
- **Other duties**:

- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Monitoring food quality and consistency throughout the cooking process.
- Following menu instructions and special dietary requests.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or ingredient shortages to the supervisor.

Required skills and qualifications:

- **Experience**: Prior experience as a Chinese cook in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- **Culinary knowledge**: Deep understanding of authentic Chinese cuisine, cooking methods, and flavor profiles.
- **Knife skills**: Excellent knife handling skills for precise chopping and slicing.
- **Wok cooking expertise**: Proficiency in using a wok for quick and efficient stir-frying.
- **Language skills**: Ability to understand basic English instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- **Physical stamina**: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
