Waiter/waitress

The waiter is expected to arrive at work on time and proceeds to prepare the restaurant floor for breakfast service. Maintaining clean tables and surrounds is an ongoing and important part of the server's job, as well as providing clear communication between the kitchen and the customer. Clearing tables at the end of the meal is part of the job description. Attention to detail is really important as is careful sanitisation.

We try to stick to a 12 hour working day, 6 days a week. We split the tips accumulated with all the staff, front and back, which can often account for an added 10000 per month on top of the salary.

We would prefer all applicants to have received their Covid vaccinations, as it is most likely the Goan government will only reopen tourism once the state is vaccinated and only to vaccinated tourists.

In short, experience in waiting tables is important, but the successful applicant will also be well-groomed at all times and be confident and personable with the customers.
