**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and maintain MySQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Oversee database backup recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
- Perform database upgrades and patch management to keep systems up-to-date.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
- Conduct regular database audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist in capacity planning and forecasting for database growth.
- Automate routine database tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical database systems.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in MySQL DB Administration.

**Qualifications**
- Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Have at least 7 years of experience in MySQL DB Administration.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures.
- Show proficiency in database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Exhibit experience with database security and compliance measures.
- Have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Display strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Nice to have experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Preferably have experience working in a hybrid work model environment.
- Show a commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

**Certifications Required**

MySQL Database Administrator Certification or equivalent.
