Chemist

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine and advanced chemical analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished agrochemical products, including fertilizers and pesticides, to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Develop and optimize chemical formulations for fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other agrochemical products.
- Conduct quality assurance testing, including stability testing, pH balance, solubility, nutrient content analysis, and physical property evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical analyses, testing results, and product specifications in compliance with regulatory and quality assurance guidelines.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and regulatory teams to develop new products and improve existing formulations.
- Ensure all agrochemical products meet environmental and safety regulations before they are released to the market.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to chemical processes and provide technical support for production and manufacturing teams.
- Monitor batch-to-batch consistency and investigate any deviations in product quality, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in agrochemical regulations and best practices in fertilizer and pesticide formulations.
- Train and guide junior staff or lab technicians in chemical testing procedures and quality control methods.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in chemical analysis, quality assurance, and formulation within the agrochemical, fertilizer, or pesticide industries.
- **Skills**:

- Strong understanding of agrochemical formulations, including fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides.
- Expertise in analytical chemistry techniques, including chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV-VIS, IR), titration, and other laboratory methods.
- Familiarity with quality control protocols, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance in the agrochemical industry.
- Knowledge of nutrient content analysis, stability testing, and formulation optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in maintaining high product quality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with the development and testing of biopesticides or organic fertilizers.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality assurance systems specific to the agrochemical industry.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations concerning the use and disposal of agrochemicals.
