**Education Counselor Job Description**

**Overview**:
Education counselors play a vital role in guiding students through their academic journey and helping them make informed decisions about their education and career paths. They work closely with students, parents, and educational institutions to provide support and guidance in academic, career, and personal development matters.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Student Guidance**:

- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to assess their academic strengths, weaknesses, interests, and goals.
- Provide guidance on course selection, academic planning, and career pathways based on students' abilities, interests, and aspirations.
- Assist students in identifying and overcoming academic challenges, developing study skills, and managing time effectively.
- **Career Counseling**:

- Offer career assessments, resources, and counseling to help students explore career options and make informed decisions about their future.
- Provide information on educational and vocational opportunities, including college programs, vocational training, internships, and job placements.
- Assist students in creating resumes, preparing for interviews, and developing job search strategies.
- **College Admissions Support**:

- Foster relationships with college admissions officers to stay informed about admission criteria, trends, and best practices.
- **Personal and Social Counseling**:

- Provide emotional support, counseling, and referrals to students facing personal, social, or behavioral challenges that may impact their academic performance.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student concerns, implement intervention strategies, and promote a positive school environment.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including academic transcripts, assessment results, and counseling notes.
- Generate reports on student progress, counseling activities, and outcomes to track effectiveness and inform decision-making.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated on educational trends, career development resources, and counseling techniques through professional development activities, workshops, and conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and innovative strategies for supporting student success.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
