Introduction:
Trade and Transaction Reporting (TTR) IT provides technology solutions to meet the firm’s regulatory reporting obligations for its derivative businesses. The group reports both listed and OTC derivative products to global regulatory bodies, including the CFTC, SEC, FSA, JFSA and regulators in India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore, with special focus on the derivatives reporting required under the Dodd-Frank act and MIFID regulation.
This individual will be responsible for the test deliveries within Trade and Transaction Reporting Team (TTR) to meet our regulatory deliverable responsibilities.

What will you be doing?
- Develop a good understanding of the business, workflow, functionality and systems under test.
- Requires to design functional test scenarios and data for testing Regulatory changes.
- Ensure functionality is tested against requirements with good test coverage with automation approach and by following in sprint test automation.
- Develop understanding with existing automation tools and continuously look for opportunities to improve automation efficiency and coverage.
- Interacting with SQL server database for verification and validation of all Backend operations.

Using the logs, database etc. to perform comprehensive analysis of any error to assist in working out the root cause of the issue prior to recording in a defect tracking tool.

What we’re looking for:

- Minimum 5 years testing experience.
- Strong functional testing concepts and Technical capabilities to automate given requirements.
- Hands-on experience on database technologies such as SQL Server/Oracle and Unix environment
- Strong programming skills with hands on experience on Java, Cucumber, TestNG, Selenium
- Hands on experience to write effective and accurate XPATH
- Experience on working with JSON, XML programmatically with Java - modification, read operations
- Hands on experience with Code versioning tool like Git - resolve conflicts/branching/PR
- Good understanding of UI Development platforms and How UI renders/events/dom
- API Automation using Rest Assured would be great to have.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong knowledge and experience in Functional testing
- Must be a good team player, able to communicate and collaborate well with people in and outside the team.
- Proactive and willingness to learn.
- Understanding of the finance markets & financial products will be added advantage.

ï‚- IT Related Bachelor’s Degree and formal certifications in the languages / test tools listed above
ï‚- A proven track record of testing in an agile/iterative environment (DevOps, SCRUM, BDD, TDD)
ï‚- Significant experience in testing middleware, web services and SOA
ï‚- Expert in middleware Automated Testing approaches and specially using core Java, Selenium
ï‚- Proficient in SQL and backend testing
ï‚- Self-motivated and assertive
ï‚- Proficient in Microsoft office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Skills that will help you in the role:
ï‚- Experience of CI Solutions/Tools - e.g. GIT, Team City, Maven, subversion
ï‚- Strong knowledge and experience in Functional testing
ï‚- Good to have experience of developing code using Core Java, XML technologies.
ï‚- Good working experience on Java, Unix, Perl/Shell Scripting, Perl/SQL Server databases
ï‚- Experience in shell script, Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Test Driven Development (TDD) using Test NG
