The employee should be proficient in oral and written English and have an ability to communicate well with teachers, vendors and helpers. A basic knowledge of Word and Excel is a must. Good listening skills are required so that detailed instruction can be followed.

**Responsibilities Includes**:
**Laboratory preparatory work**:

- Scientific knowledge and understanding and ability to handle lab equipment
- Organize and prepare the labs for class sessions and examinations
- Maintain work area and equipment in the prep lab
- Work with teachers and head of the science departments to plan
- Work with the teachers and follow guidelines while setting and adhering to safety standards
- Maintain, construct and operate equipment
- Carry out tests to verify material supplied

**Inventory Management**:

- Create and follow a process-oriented approach towards managing all lab requirements
- Identify materials required for all labs and liase with procurement team
- Maintain a check on stock and prepare purchase orders in time to ensure timely delivery of material
- Liase with vendors and ensure material purchased is the best quality and approved by the department head
- Check material for expiry and manage disposal of waste.
- Keep abreast of latest equipment and technology that can prove beneficial to the school lab
