We are seeking an experienced and dynamic **People Partner** based in India to play a critical role in supporting our growing team in India while being an integral part of the People & Culture team in Canada.

This role is a unique mix of People Partnership and Operations, ensuring that our India team is supported, engaged and aligned with Loopio’s culture and business goals. **This role requires close collaboration with teams across Canada, the UK, and India. To accommodate the time zone differences, you will be expected to work from 12 pm - 8 pm IST**

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
**People Partnership (80%)**
- Strategic Partnering: Act as a trusted People Partner for Loopers in the India Hub, working closely with leaders and employees to drive engagement, development and retention.
- Employee Experience & Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace by implementing engagement strategies, championing company culture and leading local employee experience initiatives.
- Performance & Talent Development: Support managers in coaching, feedback and performance conversations while helping employees navigate career growth opportunities.
- People Operations & Compliance: Ensure People policies, compensation, and benefits align with local labor laws and company practices. Collaborate with legal and finance teams as needed.
- Change Management & Organizational Development: Partner with leaders on organizational changes, team effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- HR Programs & Processes: Support the rollout of global People programs in India, such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination (Deel), and compliance.
- Employee Relations & Support: Provide guidance to employees and managers on workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and best practices in alignment with Loopio values.

**Office Operations (20%)**
- Event Planning & Culture Initiatives: Support local in-person events, team gatherings and celebrations that strengthen Loopio’s culture in India
- Vendor and Facilities Management: Oversee partnerships with coworking spaces and manage vendor relationships to ensure remote employees have the necessary workspace and resources

**What You’ll Bring to the Team**
- 3-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist/People Partner role, ideally within SaaS
- Strong understanding of India labour laws, payroll processes, taxation and statutory compliance
- Experience managing vendor relationships
- Proven ability to build trust with employees and leaders, balance business objectives with employee needs
- Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management and engagement strategies
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing office operations and logistics
- Ability to work independently with staying connected with the global People team
- Passionate about fostering an inclusive, high performing culture.

**Where You'll Work**
- Loopio is based in Canada with hub regions around the world. Right now, our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves) live and work in Toronto, Vancouver, London, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru.
- Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. Our India/UK hub employees live and work remotely around London, UK /Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru in India and work according to regular business hours in their timezone unless otherwise stated.
- You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually across the UK, India, and North America (we’re just a Zoom call and Slack message away) and have established core sync hours and focus time during the workday to enable us to work smarter together. Additionally, we encourage asynchronous collaboration to effectively work as a global #OneTeam
