Junior Embryologist

Responsibilities - Conducting andrology, embryology procedures that are involved in IVF work under supervision of Senior embryologist. Maintaining lab environment for these procedures, adequate and timely supplies of disposables and media for above
- procedures, preparing dishes and maintaining viability of tissues, gametes and embryos during processes will be her responsibility.
- Maintenance and care of equipment, daily, fortnightly and monthly basis with proper logbooks and internal and external audits, calibration. Monitoring liquid nitrogen cans and their filling/ refilling. Maintaining lab environment in consistent manner. Aid with equipment and process validation. Records of lab environment and tests conducted from time to time for maintaining same also to be kept.
- Follow stringent infection control standards while performing above procedures.
- Strict compliance to biomedical waste management guidelines should be followed.
- Meticulous record keeping about IVF cycles and frozen gametes/embryos in proper format with completeness of pertinent information in soft and hard copy version.
- Strict confidentiality must be maintained for all procedures conducted in IVF lab and witnessing record maintained. Meticulous labelling and segregating of patients’ gametes and embryos must be done.
- Nurse training, aiming for continuing improvement and supporting IVF team in long term operational goals, maintaining cordial interdepartmental relations.
- Upkeep of the core values and vision of the institute including punctuality and congeniality.
