Cricket Coach

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Training & Skill Development**:

- Plan and deliver engaging cricket training sessions that focus on improving students’ skills in batting, bowling, fielding, and wicketkeeping.
- Design and implement drills and exercises to enhance players' techniques, fitness, and understanding of game strategies.
- Provide individualized feedback to students to help them improve their cricket skills and performance.
- **Team Coaching & Strategy**:

- Select and manage the school cricket team, ensuring fair team selection and promoting inclusivity.
- Develop team strategies and game plans for both batting and bowling, preparing students for inter-school matches and tournaments.
- Teach cricket rules and etiquettes, ensuring players demonstrate good sportsmanship during practices, games, and competitions.
- **Competition Preparation & Match Day**:

- Organize and lead the team through practice sessions in preparation for upcoming cricket matches and tournaments.
- Oversee match-day preparation, ensuring students are ready both physically and mentally.
- Attend and support the team during competitions, offering tactical advice and coaching throughout the match.
- **Physical Conditioning & Fitness**:

- Plan and monitor fitness training programs that enhance players' endurance, strength, agility, and overall athleticism.
- Ensure that players maintain proper physical fitness to avoid injuries and improve overall performance.
- **Student Development & Mentorship**:

- Foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development.
- Encourage players to build confidence, discipline, and leadership skills both on and off the field.
- Promote a healthy, active lifestyle and emphasize the balance between academics and sports.
- **Communication & Collaboration**:

- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, match schedules, and any issues related to performance or behavior.
- Work with other faculty members to ensure cricket training complements the school’s physical education program.
- Collaborate with fellow sports coaches to integrate cricket training with broader school sports activities.
- **Equipment & Facilities Management**:

- Ensure all necessary cricket equipment (bats, balls, pads, gloves, etc.) is available and well-maintained.
- Coordinate with the school’s administration to ensure the cricket field and facilities are suitable for practice and competitions.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay up-to-date with the latest cricket coaching techniques, training drills, and trends in the sport.
- Attend coaching workshops, seminars, or conferences to continually improve coaching skills.
- Reflect on coaching practices and seek feedback from students, parents, and colleagues to improve teaching methods.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven experience in coaching cricket, preferably in a school or youth setting.
- Cricket coaching certification (e.g., national or regional coaching certification) is desirable.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of cricket techniques, strategies, and game rules.
- Ability to communicate effectively and motivate players.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with students of all skill levels and foster teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Proficiency in managing schedules, equipment, and logistics for matches and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and students.

**Working Conditions**:

- Part-time position, based on training schedules and match dates.
- Some evening and weekend work is required for practices, matches, and tournaments.
- Supportive school environment with opportunities for professional growth in the sports coaching field.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
