**Opportunity Summary**:
Upland BA Insight provides a search platform enabling organizations to deploy search solutions both internally and for their extranet / internet needs. Our technology stack provides an end-to-end solution for all search needs: from indexing any content source and enhancing ingested content quality to an enhanced search user experience framework, leveraging AI and NLP to provide the best answer possible to end-users.

Our technology is deployed within many organizations worldwide, ranging from hundreds of users to hundreds of thousands of users, processing hundreds of millions of documents.

You will join the core development team and be given the opportunity to work on all aspects of our technology stack. From building high performance connectors enabling ingestion of terabytes of data to integrating AI and ML into our processing flow to understand content and queries and offer the right answer at the right time.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
The architect’s responsibilities span many products, helping to ensure successful product deliveries. The role requires strong technical expertise, gained through current, hands-on involvement in developing real-world systems. The architect is expected to carry out a wide range of activities, such as breaking down complex problems and identifying steps towards solutions, through to coaching individuals and engaging with non-technical people at all levels of seniority.
- Provide guidance to developers and other stakeholders on architectural best practices, guidelines, and standards. Provide education, mentor, and coach all on the same.
- Lead Proof-Of-Concepts and provide "Reference Architectures" and "Baseline Implementations" when appropriate.
- Provide the guidance, roadmaps, and reference architectures to support a Cloud Strategy.
- Provide architectural leadership in identification of technology partnerships
- Ensure all Non-Functional Requirements (e.g., performance, availability and fail-over, scalability, security, etc.) are properly articulated, and work with all parties to guarantee that the software products that are delivered meet these objectives.
- Participates in high-level estimation.

**Requirements**:

- 5-10+ years as a software/platform architect. Lead technical architecture across multiple projects.
- Demonstrated technical team leadership.
- Experience with architecting platform services handling large quantity of data and high degree of parallelism.
- Significant experience with the design and development of complex systems; employs a disciplined and rigorous approach.
- Experience and proficiency with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies such as C#, Node.js.,.NET.
- Experience architecting solutions for AWS, Azure.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs that facilitate a superior UX or simplify systems integration.

**Desired Skills**:

- Expert with distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control.
- Expert with popular Design Patterns catalogues
- Experience working on Azure cloud-based solutions, Kubernetes environments, and Microservices oriented architecture.
- Expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server tuning methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
- Desired experience in.NET 6,7, ASP.NET Web API, AJAX, SSRS, SSIS, SSB, LINQ, entity framework, database performance optimization.
- Experience in Test Driven Development and Unit test frameworks.
- Experience with automating unit testing.
