**Designation: Music Curriculum Planner**

**Location: Pune**

As a Music Curriculum Planner, your primary responsibility will be to develop and design comprehensive curriculum frameworks and plans for music classes to be conducted in all the branches of Orchids International School pan India.

You will work closely with the team and other stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of a robust music curriculum that aligns with the educational goals and standards of the company.

**Required qualifications and expectations**:

- Trained in Music, should have knowledge of western instruments such as keyboard or guitar or drums
- 2+ years of experience of teaching music in schools preferrably
- Experience of putting together concerts with children
- Basic audio and video editing skills
- Aware of age-appropriate pedagogy and concepts (Gr. 1 - 10)
- Aware of digital (current social media) trends that can be incorporated into the learning
- Can bring in new teaching ideas for music classes in a regular school setting
- Has awareness and interest in other performing art forms like dance and drama
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders
- Has strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Is proficient in using educational technology tools, software, and resources for curriculum planning and instruction
- Is creative, enthusiastic, has a problem solving attitude and is self-driven
- Is open to learning and feedback
- Flexibility to travel interstate for need-based training or events

**Responsibilities and duties**:

- Develop age appropriate music curriculum framework for grade 1-10
- Write lesson plans and create content (AV) resources as per skill progression
- Draft SOP’s and communications for schools to follow
- Plan and execute teacher training on content and creative play-based pedagogy
- Plan events and initiatives for schools, handle coordination as and when needed
- Conduct school visits and virtual training for school teachers pan India
- Monitor student learning and quality to teaching by ongoing feedback systems
- Work alongside other planners to oversee the implementation of the curriculum and guide schools and teachers to maximize student learning
- Maintain database of teachers and documentation of training, initiatives and events
- Capture and analyze student learning data to drive the department’s growth and meet daily, weekly and monthly outcomes
- A planner needs to work 8.5 hours per day for 6 days a week. 2nd and 4th Saturdays are weekly offs. However, since performing arts training sessions and events in schools are sometimes conducted over weekends, there might be a need to work on such days. Compensatory offs are granted in such cases.
- The primary work location would be the Central office. For observation, feedback and training, school visits to be conducted. There are around 10 branches of Orchids schools in Pune.
