**UX Writer (Product Content Writer)**

A UX writer collaborates with product design teams to create short and long texts for digital products to contribute to easy-to-understand and intuitive user experiences. This includes UI copy and microcopy, content to instruct customers and make their website and app journey smooth.

Essential requirements:

- Superior writing and communication skills, excellent knowledge of the English language, grammar, punctuation, spelling.
- Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working in Agile environment.
- Experience working with multiple teams, including product managers, designers, researchers, etc.
- Solutions-oriented mindset, the ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple tasks.
- Experience creating content according to brand standards, including style and tone of voice.
- Experience creating content for different use cases and scenarios.

Desirable requirements:

- Additional skills as design and prototyping.
- Conducting research, competitive analyses, or usability testing.
- Expertise outside of UX writing.

UX Writing skills expected from the applicant:
UX: One of your goals is to ensure the ease of the target audience; ability to understand the user’s level of expertise on using a product

User Research: UX writing demands user-centered thinking. User-centered thinking is developed only through research. This way you will think from a user’s perspective and writes what the users demands or need. You should then use the gathered user data from the conducted research and write content according to the target audience’s expertise.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is achieved through good writing skills. Writing skills includes the grip on grammar rules, sentence structures, clarity, and conciseness of text. Good communication skills lead to the conciseness of information. UX writing should be simple and concise. Active voice should be adapted, and passive voice sentences should be avoided. The use of active voice improves the engagement of the reader. Communication skills also demand good use of grammar and punctuation.

Technical Skills: A UX writer should be aware of the backend technicalities and software interfaces of a product. At the same time, they should be aware of the mechanism so that they can convey useful information to the readers in simpler words. Technical skills associated with UX writing are UX, content strategy, and marketing.

Design Tools: A UX writer should not necessarily be a designer, but it is a good move to have the basic knowledge of the development process and design tools. UX writers work along with design teams, and content strategists so familiarizing themselves with their tools, and with the design process will make the collaboration and work a lot easier.

Content Strategy: A UX writer should have a proper strategy and a content guideline before working on a product. A UX writer should be aware of the writing goals, and what the target audience should do. This demands the knowledge of company goals along with the product goals. The company’s style guides also help you understand the business strategy and goals. If such documentation doesn’t exist, then you’ll likely be preparing those documents.

Teamwork: UX writers should work in a collaborative workspace and work along with UX designers, product managers, content strategists, and sometimes marketers as well. You are always working with multiple teams and collaborating with different departments to accomplish a project.

**Salary**: ₹566,273.52 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
