Graphic Design Consultant - Neuroscience Research Applications

The Role:
As a Design Consultant, you will play a critical role in translating complex neuroscience insights into compelling visual and digital design solutions for our clients. You will be part of the Neuroscience and AI team, at CerebrAl, helping to create innovative behaviour change interventions. This is the team that has developed the framework for MicroStimuli - stimuli that works in milliseconds, based on the neuroscience of decision-making. MicroStimuli have been used by Fractal to mitigate some of the toughest problems in human behaviour change: from mitigating railway accidents due to trespassing, to preventing road accidents due to over speeding across 6 major highways across India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to understand client requirements, translating these needs into creative design strategies.
- Interpret scientific insights related to neuroscience and non-conscious decision-making into visual concepts that enhance user experience and engagement.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and workshops with clients, offering creative input on how design can enhance neuroscience-driven strategies.
- Ensure all designs are aligned with the latest neuroscience research and support the strategic goals of the client.
- Create visually compelling presentations and reports that effectively communicate design strategies and their scientific foundations.
- Stay up to date on design trends and industry and AI developments, integrating new ideas into design solutions for clients.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including neuroscientists, data analysts, and marketers, to create holistic design solutions that resonate with target audiences.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Visual Communication Design or Game Design
- 0-2 years of experience in graphics, digital design, product design, packaging design, branding with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative work.
- Interest in neuroscience, nature and bio-inspired design, consumer behaviour and other human behaviours (experience in these fields is a plus, but not required)
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro and After Effects) and familiarity with GenAI tools like Midjourney, Dall-e and Firefly.
- Strong conceptual thinking, with the ability to translate conceptual ideas into innovative design solutions.
- Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in an accessible and compelling way.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
- A passion for innovation and creativity, with a desire to explore how design can influence human behaviour change.
