**Role Overview**:
The **Editor** will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining manuscripts to enhance readability, coherence, and overall quality. This role requires a strong command of language, attention to detail, and experience working with various genres. The Editor will collaborate with authors to shape their manuscripts into polished, publication-ready books.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Manuscript Editing**: Perform developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading to improve clarity, grammar, structure, and overall flow.
- **Content Evaluation**: Assess manuscripts for coherence, consistency, and readability, providing constructive feedback to authors.
- **Style & Formatting**: Ensure manuscripts adhere to appropriate style guides and industry formatting standards.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with authors to maintain their voice while enhancing content quality.
- **Fact-Checking & Consistency**: Verify accuracy, eliminate inconsistencies, and maintain continuity within manuscripts.
- **Publishing Readiness**: Ensure final manuscripts are error-free and ready for formatting and publication.
- **Trend Awareness**: Stay updated on publishing trends, editing best practices, and self-publishing industry standards.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field.
- **2-3 years** of experience in editing, preferably in book publishing or self-publishing.
- Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and writing mechanics.
- Proficiency in editing tools (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, ProWritingAid).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with multiple genres, including fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, and self-help.
- Knowledge of book formatting.
- Experience in working with authors and providing constructive feedback.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

**Benefits**:
