As an Aviation Faculty Member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, conducting research, advising students, and contributing to the development of the department's academic curriculum. This role requires a blend of academic qualifications, industry expertise, and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Teaching & Instruction**:
- Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, reading materials, assignments, and examinations.
- Employ various teaching methods to create a dynamic, engaging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and industry relevance.
- Utilize simulation tools, flight training devices, and other technology to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Stay current with the latest developments and trends in the aviation industry to incorporate into course content.
- **Student Mentorship & Advising**:
- Provide academic advising and career counseling to students, helping them to identify professional goals and academic paths.
- Offer support and guidance to students in their projects, research, and internships.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their full potential.
- **Research & Professional Development**:
- Contribute to research initiatives in the field of aviation, publishing in relevant academic and professional journals.
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and to build professional connections.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key industry players to promote collaboration and student opportunities.
- **Curriculum Development & Review**:
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop, assess, and update the department’s academic programs and course offerings.
- Ensure that curriculum aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Innovate and implement new teaching strategies, tools, and technologies to improve course delivery and student outcomes.
- **Administrative & Departmental Duties**:
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees, contributing to the growth and improvement of the department.
- Assist in student recruitment and retention efforts through open houses, informational sessions, and other promotional activities.
- Supervise and mentor students in research projects, internships, and capstone projects.
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
