Job Description: Ward RMO (Resident Medical Officer) Doctor

**Position Title**: Ward Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

**Location**: KALYAN

**Department**: Ward/General Medicine

**Reports To**: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

Job Purpose:
The Ward RMO is responsible for providing medical care and support to patients admitted to the hospital ward. This includes conducting daily rounds, monitoring patient progress, performing medical procedures, and ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
**Patient Care**:

- Conduct daily rounds to assess patient conditions and develop treatment plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.
- Perform medical procedures such as IV insertions, wound care, and catheterizations.
- Respond to medical emergencies within the ward promptly and efficiently.

**Clinical Duties**:

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Assist in surgical procedures as needed.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.

**Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.

**Education and Training**:

- Participate in continuous medical education and training programs.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and medical students.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report any incidents or adverse events in accordance with hospital policies.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- **Licensure**: Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 1-2 years of post-graduate clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- **Skills**: Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, ability to work under pressure, and proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

**Working Conditions**:

- **Hours**: Full-time position with a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- **Environment**: Hospital ward with exposure to infectious diseases and medical emergencies.
