Job Title: CNC Setter

Job Description: A CNC Setter is responsible for setting up and preparing computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines for production operations. This role requires technical expertise in operating CNC machinery, ensuring its proper functioning, and maintaining high-quality production standards. CNC Setters work with various types of CNC equipment, such as lathes, mills, routers, or grinders, depending on the specific industry and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: Prepare CNC machines by installing and aligning the necessary tooling, fixtures, and materials required for production according to job specifications.

Programming: Load and verify CNC programs into the machine's computer system to perform specific machining operations.

Calibration: Ensure the accuracy of the CNC machines by conducting regular calibration and adjustment procedures.

Tooling Inspection: Inspect cutting tools and replace them as needed to maintain efficient production and quality standards.

Quality Control: Monitor the machining process, conduct in-process inspections, and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired tolerances and product specifications.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process, such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or programming errors.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines to keep them in optimal working condition.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications and Skills:

- ITI Diploma in relevant engineering or machining field is preferred.
- Proven experience in CNC machine setup and operation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Attention to detail and quality-conscious mindset.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Basic computer literacy for loading and verifying CNC programs.

Working Hours: The CNC Setter role typically involves working 12-hour shifts. The specific shift schedule may vary depending on the company's operational requirements.

Holiday: The CNC Setter is entitled to a weekly holiday on Tuesdays, which provides a well-deserved rest day during the workweek.
