Arjun Rathi Design is a Mumbai-based design studio specializing in lighting design. We create fixtures and installations that enhance environments with artificial light, pushing the boundaries of design while considering the context and cultural associations of each project.

**Role Overview**:
As the **Design Head**, you will lead a dynamic design team to create innovative and commercially successful lighting solutions. The role requires a strong design vision, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from concept to execution. You will work closely with the Project Management Head to ensure projects meet client expectations, quality standards, and timelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Management**: Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- **Performance Management**: Set performance standards, offer constructive feedback, and guide the team in achieving design goals.
- **Execution Management**: Oversee the design execution from inception to completion, ensuring feasibility, innovation, and alignment with timelines.
- **Project Coordination**: Collaborate with the Project Management Head to allocate resources and assign designers to projects based on expertise and workload.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: 5-7 years in design and execution within lighting, interiors, or architecture, with a portfolio of at least six projects (two projects should be over 4,000 sq. ft.).
- **Leadership**: Proven experience managing a design team of at least three people, with a successful track record of team performance and project completion.
- **Skills**: Proficiency in MS Excel for project tracking and basic data management.
- **Communication**: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and clients.
- **Passion**: A genuine passion for design, with a commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
