Graphic Designer

**Position**

an opening for an experienced **Graphic Designer** with strong design skills, exceptional technical knowledge and a great design sense. This designer will formulate and produce print and digital marketing communication material including print advertising, point of purchase displays, trade show graphics, product packaging & framing, sales presentations, 2D-3D designs and/or tactile signage, etc. The designer will be a member of the in-house Marketing and Creative team in development and execution of internal and external marketing communications.

**Responsibilities**:

- Possess the ability to meet with senior level management throughout the company to help them articulate their project message, then translate that into a high-quality product that satisfies their request and supports the company brand and guidelines.
- Design print ads, manuals, catalogs, flyers, tradeshow materials, postcards, posters, certificates, trophies/awards, POP/POS materials, print advertising, presentations, newsletters, menus, billboards, web graphics, multimedia graphic support, etc.
- Be able to create and design 2D images and 3D tactile objects, signs, etc.
- Execute design files from creative into productive, press-ready files.
- Communicate with vendors and Purchasing to get price quotes and project information.
- Develop storyboards, creative copy and help oversee production.
- Work with team members, vendors and end users to plan, develop, and execute projects.
- Possess a working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce, and creative process.
- Be able and willing to perform the administrative requirements as well as the creative.
- Attend tradeshows and/or educational courses to supplement knowledge, assist in team-success and maintain up-to-date knowledge.

- Basic knowledge of Dreamweaver.
- HTML scripting is a plus.
- Digital video editing and optimizing (Final Cut Pro) can be an added plus.
- Knowledge of 3D design software is welcomed.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Thorough knowledge of production and printing processes.
- Strong illustration skills, sketching and drawing can be a plus.

**Education & Experience Requirements**
- Must have 3+ years of production experience with graphic design.
- Handle total design process from the client meeting/concept to press check at the printer.
- Design experience in the retail industry or with consumer product goods is a strong plus
