Junior Quantity Surveyor

A Junior Quantity Surveyor is an entry-level professional responsible for assisting senior quantity surveyors in the management and control of costs related to construction projects. The role involves working closely with the project team to ensure that all aspects of cost management, procurement, and contract administration are handled efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Measure and quantify the materials required for construction, such as concrete, steel, bricks, and other building components.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, analyzing bids from contractors, and recommending suitable subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of contracts, ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process, identifying any variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Evaluate and manage variations and change orders to contracts, assessing their impact on project costs and timelines.
- Assist in preparing interim and final valuations for work completed by contractors, ensuring accurate payment amounts.
- Help in the preparation of regular cost reports for the project team and clients, detailing the current financial status of the project.
- Identify potential risks related to cost and provide suggestions to mitigate them.
- Maintain and organize project-related documentation, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with other members of the project team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements in all cost management processes.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, B.Tech Civil or a related field.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Basic understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
