As/a Level Cambridge English Teacher

**PURPOSE**

Miri Piri Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced coach to support and **guide students in Grades 11 and 12, helping them achieve their academic goals and unlock their full potential. This dual role combines teaching AS/A Level Cambridge English with providing one-on-one academic coaching, course guidance, and college counseling. You will work with a diverse group of students from both Amritsar and around the world, offering tailored support to meet their unique needs**. As part of our holistic approach, you will also start each day by leading a meditation session, for which training will be provided.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCoaching and Academic Support**:

- Provide individualized academic coaching to address challenges, build study habits, and maintain progress.
- Assist students in selecting appropriate online courses that align with their strengths, goals, and future aspirations.
- Monitor student schedules to ensure they are on track with coursework and exam preparation.
- Offer strategies for overcoming academic challenges, including managing stress and balancing study time.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress, challenges, and successes.

**Teaching Responsibilities**:

- Deliver engaging and high-quality instruction in AS/A Level Cambridge English.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Support students in preparing for Cambridge exams with focused coaching on past papers, time management, and exam techniques.

**Academic Coordination Responsibilities**:

- Register students for online courses and provide ongoing support to help them navigate the platform.
- Oversee the Cambridge exam registration process, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
- Help students prepare for exams, including organizing review sessions and addressing areas of concern.
- Serve as the main point of contact between online course providers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth learning experience.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Lead daily meditation sessions in the Kundalini Yoga tradition to start the day (training will be provided).
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages academic achievement, personal growth, and collaboration.
- Incorporate Miri Piri Academy’s core values, including seva (selfless service) and community involvement, into your interactions with students.
- Participate in school-wide events, expeditions, and extracurricular activities to support the holistic development of students.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in academic coaching, mentoring, or student counseling, particularly for high school students.
- Experience teaching AS/A Level Cambridge English or a similar curriculum.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to monitor and support students' academic progress.
- Knowledge of Cambridge exam registration processes is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a diverse group of students and parents.
- Dedication to creating a supportive and inspiring environment for both local and international students.
- Willingness to lead daily meditation sessions in the Kundalini Yoga tradition (training will be provided).

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
