This is a field-based scientific role within a designated therapeutic area, responsible for the implementation of Medical Affairs Plans for products that are either pre-launch or recently launched. The position plays a key role in shaping clinical practice through scientific engagement, collaborations, and partnerships with both traditional stakeholders (e.g., specialist key external experts, primary care physicians) and non-traditional stakeholders (e.g., policy-makers, patient advocacy groups, governmental bodies, and healthcare innovators).

The role focuses on building strong professional relationships and scientific partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem, delivering evidence-based insights and supporting the safe and effective use of the organization//'s therapies. Activities include one-on-one scientific discussions, expert meetings, and broader evidence generation initiatives in alignment with the medical strategy.

Professionals in this role act as strategic catalysts, equipped with deep insights into the healthcare landscape-its environment, priorities, clinical pathways, and patient journeys. Their mission is to execute medical strategies that support scalable and sustainable improvements in clinical practice and enhance patient access to high-quality care.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Scientific Expertise**:

- Maintain deep scientific and clinical knowledge of disease areas, relevant products, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape.
- Contribute to and manage the development of the Field Medical Strategic Plan (FMSP).
- Provide input on training programs and mentoring within the therapeutic area.

**Scientific Exchange**:

- Conduct peer-level scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals using appropriate communication channels to deliver balanced, data-driven content.
- Address unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information and ensure it supports the safe use of therapies.
- Provide scientific support and presentations at meetings and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external experts to foster continuous scientific exchange and collaboration.
- Organize and lead scientific events including advisory boards, symposia, standalone meetings, and educational sessions tailored to healthcare professionals.

**Customer Insight**:

- Gather, analyze, and share field insights related to clinical practice, patient experience, and therapeutic needs to inform internal strategy.
- Translate stakeholder perspectives into actionable recommendations for medical strategy or clinical development.
- Identify gaps in the patient journey and integrate these insights into cross-functional plans.

**Strategic Relationships**:

- Build strategic peer-level partnerships with medical and scientific thought leaders and collaborate with internal teams to engage with broader healthcare stakeholders.
- Identify and support clinical investigators for pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing studies.
- Evaluate and support investigator-initiated study proposals.
- Expand the stakeholder network to include non-traditional influencers (e.g., payers, policy leaders, public health officials) who can enable healthcare innovation and practice transformation.
- Drive the development of partnerships that lead to scalable and sustainable solutions for addressing healthcare access and quality gaps.

**Digital, Compliance & Innovation**:

- Leverage digital technologies and innovative approaches to enhance scientific exchange and patient-focused solutions.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of pharmacovigilance, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and other regulatory and compliance principles.
- Understand and uphold ethical standards and relevant local regulations, and train others as needed.
- Ensure adherence to internal standards, regulatory guidelines, and compliance processes related to clinical research, promotional activity, and safety reporting.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Advanced scientific degree (minimum of a master//'s in a relevant discipline).
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in using multi-channel communication tools.
- Proficient in project and time management.
- Excellent presentation and scientific engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

**Desirable**:

- Doctoral degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) in a scientific or healthcare-related field.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, drug development, or a strong understanding of therapeutic area disease states.
- Experience in scientific research, clinical development, and collaboration with key opinion leaders.
