**Role Description**: The Linux role supports our platform that focus on opensource technologies. In this role, you will support Cloud compute services including Virtual Machine instances, EC2, Storage, Cloud Volume, Kubernetes and Network services including Load Balancer, VPC, basic routing etc. As well as supporting our customers, you will be leading operational improvement initiatives, Performance tuning, Best practices and proactive monitoring of distributed components.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
- Knowhow to implement and control the flow of data, to and from a service provider
- Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
- Responsibilities include installing, configuring, administering and supporting java deployments including but not limited to Apache web server, Tomcat spanning multiple versions, apache ActiveMQ, WSO2 identity server, ofbiz, and haproxy
- Participate in Troubleshooting triages to understand the issues and resolved, documented.
- Strong technical skills to develop shell/Bash scripts to execute daily weekly monthly and yearly maintenance work
- Demonstrate working knowledge of configuring Ansible and other industry leading cloud configuration and automation software package
- Expected to show independence and initiative to prioritize heavy workload to manage the expectations of customers and to meet communicated deadlines of both projects and operational tasks
- Ability to scale middleware platform horizontally and vertically
- Communicates in manner that is appropriate for the situation and possesses the business acumen necessary to communicate how technical design decisions affect users and budgets
- Develop plans associated with upgrading or patching supported environments and has the planning and communication skills necessary to coordinate with diverse group of customers
- Be a positive helpful teammate capable of communicating across a diverse workforce to ensure work transitions effectively without interruption or incident

**Required Technical Skills**:

- Advanced troubleshooting with System Administration with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat)
- Advanced experience with Networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, cURL or related).
- In-depth understanding of virtualization and cloud computing (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen).
- Knowledge of AWS and Cloud Computing concepts
- Understanding of Security best practices
- Understanding of distributed computing environments and methodologies
