- Must have at least **2 research publications** in indexed journals during the tenure as Assistant Professor.The publications must be in **indexed/national/international journals** recognized by the NMC.
- Case reports, letters to editors, and review articles may not be counted unless specified by the institution's rules.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities of Associate Professor in Anatomy**:

- **Academic Duties**:
- Teach gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy to MBBS and allied health science students.
- Guide dissection and practical classes.
- Develop teaching material and conduct internal assessments.
- **Research**:
- Conduct independent research and guide junior faculty/students in research activities.
- Publish research papers and participate in academic conferences.
- **Mentorship**:
- Mentor students and junior faculty (tutors and assistant professors).
- Help in fostering academic growth and ethical practices.
