Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Implementation
- Create and maintain automated test frameworks using Python
- Develop test cases for data ingestion, transformation, and aggregation workflows
- Perform thorough testing of big data processing pipelines and ETL workflows
- Validate data quality and integrity across various stages of processing

Technical Implementation
- Write and execute test scripts using Spark Shell for data validation
- Automate big data workflows including ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processes
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks
- Create and manage test data sets for various testing scenarios
- Monitor and optimize test execution performance

Quality Assurance
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness through comprehensive testing
- Identify and document software defects
- Perform regression testing and impact analysis
- Create detailed test documentation and reports
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Spark Shell
- Proficient in Python programming and automation framework development
- Experience in testing big data ingestion and aggregation flows
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with SQL and data query languages

Tools & Technologies
- ** Big Data**: Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem
- ** Programming**: Python, PySpark, Shell scripting
- ** Testing Tools**: Automated testing frameworks, Performance testing tools
- ** Databases**: SQL, NoSQL
- ** Version Control**: Git

Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in QA automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Experience with agile development methodologies
