Handling Incident, Problem and Change Tickets and escalating to another level
- Used Admintool in Solaris to perform routine administration tasks.
- Created and expanded File Systems on demand from DBA-s using Veritas volume manager and also using native UNIX utilities. Designed File System Layouts to improve Performance and Reliability of Oracle databases using Veritas volume manager.
- Prepared Backup Schedule for Incremental and Cumulative Backups. Configured and maintained legato networker to take backups across the network to tape library.
- Analyzed and troubleshoots bottlenecks involving Memory, CPU, and Devices and Network using ps, vmstat, iostat, netstat, snoop and nfsstat command, tuning the performance.
- Troubleshooting System, Network, and Operating System issues.
- Client interfacing for problem Resolution and training.
- Planned and documented the procedures for auditing the Production Compliance of Servers.
- Over 1,000 total users, which included 300+ servers (E450, E4500, Ultra2, E6500, Sun and Clarion Raid arrays).
