The Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Support Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Azure Virtual Desktop environments. This role focuses on ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of virtual desktop infrastructure while providing excellent support to end-users and teams.

Primary Skills - Azure Virtual Desktop Support

**Requirements**:
**AVD Environment Management***:

- Configure, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Optimize session hosts and user profiles for performance and scalability.
- Monitor and manage virtual machines, storage, and networking within the AVD ecosystem.

**Support and Troubleshooting***:

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with virtual desktops, remote apps, and user profiles.
- Work with end-users to resolve session-related challenges and educate them on best practices.
- Collaborate with cloud and networking teams to address complex issues.

**Security and Compliance***:

- Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards (e.g., SOC II, GDPR).
- Regularly patch and update session hosts and related infrastructure.

**Monitoring and Reporting***:

- Use tools like Site24x7, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to monitor AVD performance.
- Generate reports on AVD usage, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Provide recommendations for scaling or optimizing resources based on usage trends.

**Documentation and Training***:

- Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Create and maintain a knowledge base for recurring AVD issues.
- Provide training to end-users and junior IT staff on AVD features and best practices.
