Cloud Integration Expert

**The Position**

The main purpose of the Cloud Integration Expert is to define, set-up and manage service portfolio for the services we deliver to the DSM business. Cloud Integration includes private Data Center and co-location services (housing, IaaS, PaaS), as well as public cloud, and SaaS solutions using technology partners such as AWS, Azure and Ali Cloud. Special focus is the digital transformation from on-prem towards the cloud.

The Cloud Integration Expert is part of the cloud competence center and develops solutions in close collaboration with Agile Leads who define and develop the direction for the end-to-end services that are delivered to the DSM business.

The key responsibilities in this position:

- You are accountable for the delivery of the Platform & Cloud Integration service portfolio
- Owning & driving the technical design and implementation for hybrid cloud capabilities, including establishing design and engineering patterns.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code to support automated adherence to the patterns using e.g. JSON, Terraform, Yaml and Azure DevOps Pipelines and Repos.
- Manage the implementation of CloudOps / CloudFeatures / CloudFin capabilities within existing organisational support structures and identify simplification opportunities for operational processes.
- Engage in, or help develop, governance processes that ensure systems compliance to cloud computing policy.
- Provide technical leadership and consultancy at initiation and design stages within projects and other changes which impact the hybrid cloud platform.
- Write clear and concise documentation that is consistent design principles.
- Work with agile leads to ensure that project deliverables, such as Project Initiation Documents, Project Briefs, resource forecasts and plans are realistic and achievable.
- Engage in research and development towards innovative architecture and technical solutions that may provide business benefit.
- Identify and promote innovative technologies that provide value as business enablers or create improvements in business process, cost, performance, and sustainability.
- Provide integration skills and experience to ensure the interoperability of new and existing solutions.
- Assist in the production of technical roadmaps providing guidance on short, medium and long-term objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to internal and federated Solution Architects to ensure compliance to expected technical and quality standards.
- Responsible for populating the Architecture Reference Library and ensuring the process of saving intellectual capital back into the reference library to build up a stock of reusable artefacts.
- Provide a technical escalation point for first/second line support where appropriate and manage the escalation of unresolved infrastructure issues to appropriate third party support suppliers.
- Is capable to operate in GxP/CSV qualified environments and assures such compliance.

**The Ideal**

**Education level**
- Educated to at least Higher Vocational Education (Bachelor) level in IT, IT Technical College diploma, or equivalent.
- Cloud certifications are preferred
- Fluent in English, both in writing and verbally

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Knowledge of ITIL/SIAM (service management, service delivery processes, and lifecycle management); Proven problem management and resolution skills;
- Knowledge of Agile SCRUM (doing and being agile);
- In-depth knowledge about Platform & Cloud Managed Services to be an equal counterpart in discussions (content, concepts, technology) and overlook the services landscape and service providers;
- Understanding on the DSM ICT policies, baselines, strategies, and standards;
- Understanding of the DSM businesses, Multinational operations, global geographical spread, functional and geographical relations and specific site concepts;
- Knowledge about and experience with market players and service providers;
- Significant experience as either a Lead Engineer or Solution Architect in a global cloud-enabled environment
- Significant and recent experience at working with e.g. JSON, Terraform, YAML, etc.
- Significant experience with DevOps and CI / CD using Azure DevOps Pipelines and Repos
- Significant experience in Microsoft Office 365
- Significant experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD and associated technologies
- Project staff supervision experience preferred
