**Primary Purpose**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Implement AWS best practices**:

- Admin continuously reviews the existing environment and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Consult and advise internal teams on architectural design patterns and choose appropriate services to meet business objectives.
- ** Network Management**:

- Implement secure communication channels between a multi-account AWS environment and on-prem resources.
- ** Organization Management**:

- Utilize Organizations, delegated administration, and centralized dashboards to simplify account management.
- Leverage data from Cost Usage Reports to recommend cost optimization strategies.
- ** Security and Compliance**:

- Admin is responsible for identifying appropriate mechanisms, such as AWS Audit Manager, AWS Config, or AWS Security Hub to enforce the security and compliance reporting requirements such as NIST 800-83, HIPAA, FedRAMP, PCI etc. to enable continuous compliance.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and enhance security measures.
- Evaluate the organization’s AWS environment for security and configuration vulnerabilities.
- ** Infrastructure Monitoring**:

- Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure the availability and performance of systems.
- Define healthy states for various resources and integrate alarms into AWS dashboards.
- ** Patch Management**:

- Manage vulnerabilities and coordinate patching efforts; utilize automation when appropriate.
- Recommend transitions from managed services to fully managed services.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 6 years of experience monitoring AWS environments.
- Proven experience utilizing AWS fully managed services.
- ** Certifications**:

- AWS General Cloud Practitioner (Minimum).
- Additional AWS Certifications are preferred.
- ** Technical Skills**:Knowledge or awareness of AWS technologies, including:

- Compute services such as EC2, ECS, RDS
- Serverless solutions such as Lambda
- AWS networks, VPN, VPN, ELB, WAF
- Infrastructure as code and CloudFormation
- IAM Identity Center, cross-account and role-based access controls.
- APIs and service endpoints.
- Experience with operating system administration, web server administration, and scripting languages such as Python are preferred.
- ** Security and Compliance Knowledge**:

- Understanding AWS security best practices and experience implementing AWS security solutions.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as FedRAMP.
- ** Communication Skills**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
