Store Worker

The Store Boy is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the store or warehouse, including stock management, inventory control, and ensuring that products are properly stored and organized. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is able to handle physical tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and assist customers when needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing merchandise in designated areas.
- Ensure that all stock is stored in an organized manner to maximize space and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory checks, stock rotations, and tracking of stock levels.
- Label and tag products as required, ensuring that all items are clearly marked and easy to locate.
- Help maintain accurate stock records and assist with stocktaking procedures.
- **Stock Handling**:

- Move, lift, and organize products, materials, or stock items.
- Help prepare orders and pick stock for delivery to customers or other departments.
- Ensure that all stock is handled carefully to avoid damage.
- Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring items are placed in the correct storage area.
- **Store Maintenance**:

- Ensure the store or warehouse is clean, organized, and tidy at all times.
- Assist with the display of products, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and displays are attractive.
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to, reporting any hazards or damaged equipment.
- **Customer Assistance**:

- Assist customers with basic inquiries regarding products or store layout.
- Help load purchased items into customers' vehicles when required.
- Support store staff by providing products and materials quickly when needed.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Help maintain accurate records of stock, deliveries, and sales.
- Assist in preparing stock reports or inventory logs as required.
- Support the team with other administrative tasks as needed (e.g., labeling, pricing, checking stock levels).
- **Health & Safety**:

- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with maintaining the store or warehouse's compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or safety hazards to management promptly.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stock handling role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (as required by the position).
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A positive and reliable attitude, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends or holidays if necessary.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift, carry, and move stock weighing up to [X] lbs (or a specific weight requirement).
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stacking, shelving, and carrying merchandise.
