**Role Overview**

The Copywriter will play a crucial role in shaping the voice of Azadi Records, our artists, and our brand collaborations. You will be responsible for crafting copy that resonates with fans, brands, and industry stakeholders, ensuring that our storytelling is impactful across music releases, marketing campaigns, and community-driven initiatives. This role requires an understanding of both the independent music landscape and brand communications, allowing you to write across social media, artist campaigns, brand partnerships, and cultural projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Artist & Label Copywriting**
- Develop press releases, artist bios, and album/single descriptions that elevate an artist’s brand.
- Work directly with artists to refine their creative messaging, project narratives, and storytelling.
- Assist in word copy for music releases, music videos, and creative concepts, ensuring alignment with each artist’s vision.
- Write compelling artist one-sheets, Electronic Press Kits, and pitch decks for PR and brand opportunities.

**Agency & Brand Collaboration**
- Craft brand focused copy for campaigns, branded content, and cross industry partnerships.
- Develop brand narratives, marketing decks, and ad copy that align with Azadi’s cultural vision.
- Develop engaging copy for client servicing needs, ensuring brand tonality is maintained across decks, presentations, and social activations.
- Create storytelling frameworks that help brands integrate seamlessly into music and cultural spaces.

**Community & Culture Building**
- Shape editorial content, newsletters, and blog pieces that foster community engagement.
- Develop content strategies that amplify artist voices, independent music movements, and cultural discourse.
- Create campaign taglines, call-to-actions, and social media copy that drive community interaction.
- Work on activations, pop-ups, and cultural initiatives to engage fans and collaborators.

**Content Strategy & Execution**:

- Work with the design and marketing teams to create holistic, impactful campaigns.
- Assist in developing scripts and copy for video content, ads, and live activations.
- Proofread and edit content to maintain high quality standards.

**Social & Digital Content**
- Write captivating social media captions, ad copies, and storytelling posts that strengthen the brand’s online presence.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, community goals, and audience engagement strategies.

**Key Requirements**
- 1-3 years of copywriting experience (agency or brand experience preferred).
- Experience working with music, lifestyle, or culture-driven brands.
- Strong storytelling ability able to turn music, cultural trends, and ideas into engaging copy.
- Deep understanding of youth culture, independent music, and community-driven marketing.
- Ability to write in multiple tones and styles, catering to both artists and brand partners.
- Experience with brand strategy, digital marketing, or PR is a plus.
- Passion for independent music, underground culture, and creative storytelling.
