Job Description: High School Biology Teacher for an IGCSE school

Key Responsibilities:

- Curriculum Delivery:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Tailor teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, resources, and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
- Classroom Management:

- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote discipline and respect among students.
- Organize and manage classroom activities, transitions, and routines efficiently.
- Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

- Assess students' progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians on academic performance and areas for improvement.
- Keep accurate records of students' academic achievements, attendance, and behavior.
- Individualized Support and Differentiation:

- Identify and address the unique learning needs of individual students through differentiated instruction and personalized support.
- Collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) where necessary.
- Parental and Community Engagement:

- Establish open and effective communication channels with parents/guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and educational activities.
- Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and other school events to foster parental involvement and support.
- Engage with the local community to promote partnerships and enhance the educational experience for students.
- Professional Development:

- Stay abreast of current educational trends, research, and best practices in primary education.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to continuously improve teaching practices and contribute to the school's overall success.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- M.Sc., B.Ed., in Biology
- Prior experience of 3-5 years teaching Biology to high school students
- Strong knowledge of primary education principles, curriculum standards, and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for teaching and learning.
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
