Role Summary

The Resource Mobilization (RM) department plans, coordinates and executes the organization’s efforts in raising funds to meet its overall organizational and programmatic funding needs. This is done by building meaningful partnerships, supporting and engaging strategically with grant giving foundations/institutions, Corporate CSR departments, HNIs, and effectively engaging with volunteers from Corporate CSR Funders as part of overall fund-raising and donor engagement programs.

The Assistant Manager - Resource Mobilization & Donor Communications will actively support the Senior Manager - Resource Mobilization (RM) and the RM department with:

- Grant Proposal and Report writing
- Relationship management with donors
- Relationship management with volunteers from donor organizations (as needed)
- Representation of the organization’s brand in all donor-facing communications, events, workshops, collaterals and artifacts

**Responsibilities**

**Grant Proposal and Report Writing**:

- Design and develop high quality grant proposals that include budgets, for prospective funders.
- Manage reporting timelines, and ensure that regular updates, insights and reports of programme progress are shared as and when required.
- Coordinate with the programme team regularly to ensure the Foundation’s deliverables are aligning with the strategy framework of the organization.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to send the Fund Utilization Reports as per committed timelines.
- Generate leads through research and provide in-depth information to the Senior Manager - RM and the Founder-CEO which enables them to conduct opening conversations with potential donors and develop outreach and partnering strategies with each.

**Relationship Management with Donors**:

- Manage donor communications and donor engagement plans
- Create high-impact content for the Founder-CEO, which will include but not be limited to: drafts for presentations, agenda and minutes of donor meetings and short concept notes
- Be the principal point of contact for specific assigned funders - corporate, grant givers, individuals, crowdfunding platforms along with the Senior Manager - RM and the Founder-CEO
- Understand fund management for reporting tight utilisations with various funders

**Relationship Management with Volunteers from Donor Organizations**:

- Liaise with the internal teams at Toybank to understand volunteer requirements and source the same from donor organizations
- Liaise with volunteer representatives from donor organizations and the internal team at Toybank to coordinate events, volunteering opportunities or any requests that need to be serviced

**Representation**:

- Represent the organization at external calls, events, conferences and workshops related to donor engagement, donor communications and volunteer action
- Conduct induction and sensitisation for donors and volunteers, as required

**Streamline Processes and Collate Artifacts**:

- Create detailed SOPs for all fundraising processes, using agreed templates
- Design and create artifacts for all communication with donors
- Maintain complete and orderly records of donors
- Research and update information and records on online fundraising channels and other local and international crowdfunding platforms and ensure all data is current
- Update forms and documents received from corporates and donors; ensure all due diligence requirements are accurately and qualitatively completed within stipulated timelines

**Key Competencies**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Mass Communications, Development, or related fields. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a donor relationship management role / fundraising support role in a non-profit organization
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written); excellent presentation skills
- Strong copywriting and content writing skills for funder reports, collaterals, etc.
- Results focused with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated with excellent planning, organizing and multi-tasking skills
- A collaborative working style with excellent listening and observation skills; zero tolerance for gossip, negative behaviors and any other form of toxic barriers to building a harmonious organizational culture
- Confident; enjoys working collaboratively with others as a team members, and is equally comfortable working independently, when needed
- Embraces change, enjoys problem solving in a fast paced environment
- Creative thinker with high proficiency in using Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google slides
- High levels of integrity with the ability to strictly adhere to confidentiality clauses while handling sensitive and confidential information, as part of the role.

**Location and Travel**

The role is based in Mumbai. Some travel may be involved (based on organizational needs).

**Salary**: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
