The C&I Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and schematics for control and instrumentation systems in interior fit-out projects. This role involves designing layouts for electrical controls, automation systems, and related instrumentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drafting and Design**:

- Develop detailed drawings and schematics for control and instrumentation systems, including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and instrumentation details.
- Ensure that all drawings align with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Assist in designing systems that integrate with other MEP and interior fit-out components.
- **Coordination and Integration**:

- Collaborate with C&I engineers, electrical engineers, and designers to create cohesive designs.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and architectural) to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and project teams.
- **Documentation and Submittals**:

- Prepare detailed documentation, including cable schedules, instrument lists, and loop diagrams.
- Maintain and organize records of all drawings, revisions, and approvals.
- Submit drawings for client and consultant approvals and incorporate revisions as needed.
- **Site Coordination and Support**:

- Provide support to the site team by clarifying and interpreting control and instrumentation drawings.
- Visit project sites to verify installations and ensure conformity to design specifications.
- Assist in resolving on-site issues related to C&I systems.
- **Software Proficiency**:

- Use AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant drafting tools to create high-quality drawings.
- Stay updated on the latest drafting tools and techniques for control and instrumentation design.

**Key Skills and Competencies**:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.
- Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation design, and interior fit-out requirements.
- Knowledge of wiring standards, instrumentation devices, and control panel layouts.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills for cross-disciplinary coordination.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as a C&I Draftsman in an interior fit-out or construction setting.
- Experience with automation and instrumentation systems in commercial or residential interior projects is an advantage.
