**Duties & Responsibilities - Heritage Tourism Faculty**

**1. Course Planning and Delivery**
- Heritage and Cultural Tourism
- History of Art, Architecture, and Monuments
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites
- Museum and Heritage Site Management
- Align course content with university syllabus and tourism industry practices.

**2. Curriculum Development**
- Develop teaching plans, lecture notes, and student activities.
- Integrate local, national, and international heritage case studies.
- Include modules on sustainable and responsible tourism.

**3. Practical Exposure and Site-Based Learning**
- Organize field visits to:

- Historical monuments and archaeological sites
- Museums, heritage villages, and cultural centers
- Encourage students to prepare reports, travelogues, and heritage audits.

**4. Student Assessment**
- Conduct quizzes, assignments, presentations, and final exams.
- Evaluate students on both theoretical knowledge and field project participation.
- Maintain records of marks, attendance, and progress reports.

**5. Industry & Community Linkages**
- Collaborate with:

- State Tourism Departments
- ASI (Archaeological Survey of India)
- Local heritage clubs and NGOs
- Invite guest speakers (archaeologists, historians, tourism officers).

**6. Student Mentorship**
- Guide students on:

- Heritage tourism projects and internships
- Research on lesser-known sites or cultural practices
- Preparation for tourism-related careers or competitive exams (like IATA, MTM)

**7. Digital Integration**
- Use technology for:

- Virtual heritage tours
- Multimedia presentations (photos, videos, VR content)
- Google Earth and GIS tools for heritage mapping

**8. Research and Publications**
- Encourage and participate in research on:

- Conservation practices
- Heritage tourism policies
- Cultural festivals and intangible heritage
- Publish articles, papers, or conduct workshops/seminars.

**9. Promote Heritage Ethics & Awareness**
- Emphasize cultural sensitivity, site conservation, and tourism ethics.
- Encourage student participation in heritage awareness campaigns.

1**0. Institutional Contribution**
- Support the department in NAAC/affiliation documentation, curriculum boards, and heritage club activities.
- Actively participate in academic meetings and interdisciplinary programs.

**Job Type**: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹1,500.00 - ₹6,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Weekend only
