**Reports to**: Team Lead cum Sr Video Editor

**Job Overview**:
We are looking for a creative and skilled Animation Artist to join our team. As an Animation Artist, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling animations for a variety of projects, including digital media, television, films, video games, advertisements, and more. Your role will involve transforming concepts, sketches, and storyboards into fully animated sequences using both traditional and digital techniques.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Animation Creation**: Design, create, and animate characters, objects, and scenes using both 2D and 3D animation techniques.
- **Storyboarding**: Collaborate with the creative team to translate scripts and story ideas into visual representations through storyboards and animatics.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure that animations align with overall creative goals.
- **Refining Animations**: Modify and refine animations based on feedback from clients, directors, or producers to achieve the desired final product.
- **Asset Development**: Create or work with existing assets (characters, backgrounds, props, etc.) to build out the animation sequence.
- **Timing and Spacing**: Ensure proper timing, spacing, and flow of animation, ensuring it looks fluid and engaging to the viewer.
- **Software Proficiency**: Utilize industry-standard animation software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, Autodesk Maya, Blender, or similar programs to produce animations.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure that animations meet technical specifications and quality standards for various platforms (TV, web, mobile, etc.).
- **Project Management**: Meet deadlines and project milestones while ensuring animations are completed within budget constraints.
- **Stay Current with Trends**: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, animation techniques, and software tools to continually enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Proven Experience**: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of animation work (2D/3D) across different platforms (film, web, gaming, commercials, etc.).
- **Technical Proficiency**: Skilled in animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, Autodesk Maya, Blender, etc.) and familiarity with various animation techniques (frame-by-frame, motion graphics, stop-motion).
- **Artistic Skills**: A solid understanding of design principles, including color theory, composition, anatomy, and perspective.
- **Storytelling Ability**: Ability to create visually compelling and coherent stories through animation that engage the audience.
- **Attention to Detail**: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality animations that meet technical and artistic standards.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- **Time Management**: Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make creative decisions that solve animation challenges.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to adapt to different animation styles and work with a variety of creative visions.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor’s Degree** in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Experience in 3D Animation**: Familiarity with 3D modeling and rigging (e.g., using Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, or Blender).
- **Knowledge of VFX**: Understanding of visual effects (VFX) principles and techniques, including compositing, lighting, and rendering.
- **Experience with Motion Graphics**: Familiarity with software such as Adobe After Effects for creating motion graphics in addition to traditional animation.
- **Experience in Game Animation**: Experience in animating for video games or interactive media is a plus.
