
Sales Representative

This role requires strong networking skills, a deep understanding of government procurement, tenders, and contract execution, and the ability to manage post-sales operations including billing, completion certificates, and follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
Identify and explore new business opportunities in government IT & ITES projects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, procurement teams, and department heads.
Promote the company's IT & ITES solutions across various government departments.
Monitor tender opportunities, RFPs, and bidding processes to ensure timely participation.
Represent the company at government meetings, seminars, and industry conferences.
Government Liaison & Relationship Management
Regularly interact with government officials, policymakers, and key decision-makers to promote the company.
Build rapport with state and central government departments to enhance business prospects.
Stay updated on government policies, procurement norms, and funding opportunities related to IT & ITES.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and tender guidelines.
Project Execution & Follow-Ups
Coordinate with government departments to ensure timely execution and completion of projects.
Follow up on work orders, project milestones, and deliverables.
Work closely with internal teams (technical, operations, finance) for smooth project execution.
Manage post-project documentation, including completion certificates, billing, and payments follow-ups.
Address project-related concerns raised by government officials and provide solutions.
Promotion & Brand Visibility
Develop strategies for marketing and promoting the company’s expertise in IT & ITES projects.
Plan and execute government outreach programs, presentations, and promotional activities.
Ensure company participation in government exhibitions, vendor meetings, and summits.
Prepare proposals, business presentations, and reports for government officials.
Key Requirements
**Experience**:
4-5 years of experience in business development, sales, CRM, or key account management in the government sector (IT & ITES projects).
Strong experience in government liaising, tenders, and procurement processes.
Prior exposure to government project execution, billing, and completion certification follow-ups.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of government procurement, e-tendering, GEM, and e-Governance initiatives.
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with government officials.
Ability to negotiate contracts, close deals, and follow up on payments.
Knowledge of IT solutions, software services, and digital transformation projects for government clients.
Exceptional communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and tender portals.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (IT, Computer Science, Electronics), Business Administration, or related fields.
MBA in Marketing, Sales, or Public Administration (preferred but not mandatory).
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel across different government departments for business meetings and project follow-ups.
Ability to handle multiple projects and government clients simultaneously.
