Context:
In India, SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros, High Speed Rail, Railways, Roads, Buildings, Urban planning, and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations.

SYSTRA’s urban planning work is based on an integrated vision of mobility. We assess all relevant issues right from the start of project development, including current and future travel requirements, urban planning, economic and social development, and environmental protection.

SYSTRA has completed 17,000+ Square kilometer of Statutory Master Planning and 15+ City Development Plans (CDPs).

Missions/Main Duties:

- **Transport Planning & Analysis**
- Lead the planning, analysis, and design of transportation systems within urban and regional planning assignments.
- Prepare and review transport models, including demand forecasting and scenario analysis, for various transportation modes.
- Integrate land use planning with transport solutions to ensure balanced, efficient, and future-ready development.

** Comprehensive Mobility Planning**
- Contribute to the development of Comprehensive Mobility Plans (CMPs) and multi-modal transport strategies.
- Support the identification, assessment, and prioritization of mobility improvements, including public transit, non-motorized transport, traffic management, and last-mile connectivity.

** Transport Modeling**
- Develop, calibrate, and validate transport models (travel demand, land-use transport integration, etc.) using software such as VISUM, Cube, TransCAD, or similar.
- Analyze the interactions between transport systems and land-use patterns, and provide recommendations for integrated solutions.

** Project Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement**
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members (urban planners, engineers, GIS specialists, etc.) to ensure transport inputs align with overall project objectives.
- Engage with government agencies, municipal bodies, data providers, and stakeholders to collect relevant transport and land use data.

** Reporting & Documentation**
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations of modeling and planning outputs.
- Ensure projects adhere to applicable codes, guidelines, and client requirements.

Profile/Skills:

- Master’s degree in Transportation Planning from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transport planning assignments in metropolitan cities or regions of similar magnitude, size, and nature, in India or abroad.
- Proven experience as a Transport Modeler or Land Use-Transport Modeler in comparable projects.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in preparing Comprehensive Mobility Plans (CMPs).
