**iSeries/AS400 Operations Team**

**About the team**

This role is a part of our **iSeries/AS400 Operations Team**.

**What you bring**:

- Primarily responsible for the maintenance and administration of IBM I Series servers in all aspects.
- Good Knowledge and experience in Tape library and media device management
- Experience in creating the user profiles and providing access.
- Experience in trouble shooting & creating the Remote Printers.
- Detailed analysis on Backups using BRMS and Flash Copy based backup activities.
- Monitoring the User messages and QSYSOPR Messages.
- Taking daily health check reports in Production and non-Production servers.

**What you will be doing**:

- Prioritize, categorize and create Change Request.
- Ensure that all preparations have been made for attending a CAB meeting,
- Obtain authorization for submitted change requests from the Change Authority Ensures post review of exception changes to evaluate if the change addressed a real or a perceived exception condition.
- Ensure that changes are communicated in a timely and adequate manner.
- Review all implemented changes to ensure that they have been carried out.
- Provides technical support activities for a software production processing environment.
- Provides consultation to internal users about software capabilities and use.
- Ability to provide on-call support and extended working hours when called on and willingness to accept periodic rotation to primary 24hour on-call role, responding within prescribed response times.
