Solid Work Designer

**Job Summary**:
The SolidWorks Designer is responsible for creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks software. This role requires expertise in mechanical design, engineering principles, and CAD best practices. The SolidWorks Designer works closely with engineers, product developers, and project managers to develop and optimize designs for manufacturability, ensuring products meet quality standards and project specifications. This position plays a key role in contributing to product development, from conceptual design to final production.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **3D Modeling and CAD Design**:

- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and components in SolidWorks based on project requirements.
- Develop accurate technical drawings and blueprints for manufacturing and assembly.
- Update and revise existing designs to incorporate changes and improvements.
- **Design Optimization and **ANSYS** (Key Skill)**:

- Conduct **ANSYS** simulations, including tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and material selection, to ensure designs meet project and safety standards.
- Identify design improvements to enhance performance, efficiency, or manufacturability.
- Utilize SolidWorks simulation tools and ANSYS software to test designs under various conditions.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and manufacturing personnel, to understand project requirements and address design challenges.
- Participate in design reviews to share insights and incorporate feedback.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure design feasibility and material specifications.
- **Documentation and BOM Management**:

- Maintain organized records of design files, technical specifications, and version history.
- Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other project documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company policies.
- **Software Management and Technical Proficiency**:

- Stay updated on the latest SolidWorks features, tools, and best practices to enhance design capabilities.
- Utilize SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management) for file management and version control.
- Troubleshoot design issues and find innovative solutions within SolidWorks and **ANSYS** software.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 0-1 year(s) of experience as a CAD Designer or Mechanical Designer with a strong focus on SolidWorks.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, tolerancing, and material selection.
- Experience with **ANSYS** for simulation, analysis, and design optimization.
- Experience with SolidWorks simulation tools, PDM, and rendering is a plus.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, consumer products, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and other relevant design standards.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
